Vitamin Bounty – Pro 25

Overall Rating:          4.0/5

A relative newcomer to the probiotic supplement scene, Vitamin Bounty is already making waves. Their flagship probiotic contains a variety of well-studied strains and a competitive 25 Billion CFU. It also contains a natural prebiotic resistant starch, rice flour, to fuel the strains this probiotic supplies.

What to expect from the strains

The list of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus bacteria is exhaustive and capable of addressing typical gastrointestinal issues from flora imbalances (traveler’s diarrhea, IBS, constipation). S. Thermophilus may also help with lactose intolerance, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and to stimulate your immune system.

The Good

Over 95% of Pro 25’s strains were still active and viable, one of the highest among all products reviewed to date. Pro 25 also contains a natural prebiotic and is enteric-coated to ensure that the probiotics are not compromised by your stomach acids.

The Bad

This product contains a magnesium stearate additive, as well as a relatively low CFU/Strain count.
